“Jamaica has its fair share of problems, especially with crime, but it’s still one of the most beautiful and vibrant places in the world. No matter what, I will always love Kingston,” shared Ras I-Maric.

This emotional connection laid the foundation for his debut project, which blends reggae’s conscious roots with soulful messages of resilience, hope, and love.

The Welcome to Kingston EP

The six-track project showcases Ras I-Maric’s versatility and deep lyrical content. Featured songs include:

  • Dear Lord – a heartfelt prayer and reflection.
  • Crying for Peace – highlighting the need for unity in troubled times.
  • Tired and Fed Up – a cry against injustice and social struggle.
  • Welcome to Kingston – the title track, paying homage to his hometown.

Ras I-Maric himself served as the executive producer, producing four tracks, while Kendoyll Simpson from Belize produced the remaining two and handled mixing and mastering. The EP was released under the Poor People Productions imprint and is now available on iTunes, Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music.
